Submission is a form of worship. There are areas we are called to for submission
1. God
2. Wives to husbands/husbands to God
3. Those that have the rule over you
4. One to another
Some people look at the word submission and think of one who is being used as a doormat or one who is being controlled. But when submission is in order as the word of God speaks of it, it brings about Unity and Harmony to all of those that are involved.
We have to submit our will unto God that His will may be done in our lives. In a way, submission is a form of dying to self;dying to our own desires and following the plan of God, which is always the best plan. Submission releases a power like none other.
You seldom hear teachings on submission anymore because the perception of the word "submission" leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of some. If it was expressed more in the manner that Christ spoke of, the divorce rate may not be so high, especially in the church.
Everyone wants to be in control of something...no one wants to be the servant, as Christ commands, saying:
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

By living contrary to the will of Christ, we have given access to many demonic spirits and principalities. That is why Jezebel (a controlling, self-absorbed spirit) is taking over our churches and raising up so many that are under the influence.
Jesus, the Christ, submitted to God the Father and obeyed Him and carried out God's plan which paved the way for us today. If Jesus submitted...why can't we?
We should submit the power that we have been given from the Lord and allow Him to use us as He desires. Understand that it does not belong to us so we cannot use it as we choose, anyway. Submit your body as a living sacrifice, submit your anointing, your gifts, your members and your will and watch the power of God move in and through you and it will create such an open door for His Glory to be manifested in your life, all because you chose submission.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God. I pray that this letter finds all of you, my brothers and sisters, in the will of God for your lives. It is now time for us to get into position and move the way God wants us to. Have an ear to hear what the Spirit of God is saying to the church in this hour.
There is a place in God where we have to yield completely to Him, a place that will produce a level of power that some have not entered into. It comes from the power of submission. We, as the people of God must have submitted power. Looking up the definition of submitted/submit; to yield to governance or authority, to yield oneself to the authority or will of another: surrender. It also means to permit oneself to be subjected to something or someone.
When submission is present, then obedience is present. There are several areas in the Word of God where He calls for us to submit, to be submissive.
We are called to be submissive! The Greek is "hupotasso" which means to line up under. It is a military term that means to “get in line” under the leadership of those who are more mature.
1 Peter 5:5-6 reads: [Likewise, you who are younger] be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. (NIV)
Humility and submission help us to be accountable and to honestly assess our actions and performance. Having an attitude of humility is parallel to an attitude of submission. Submission attacks self-promotion, self-absorption and pride. Humility pleases God and nullifies a mentality of self-love that causes pride.
Pride is the misunderstanding of our fallen nature and weaknesses and causes us to think we are better than we are, and that causes us to strive to lift ourselves above others and God. Humility admits that, most importantly God, but also others are responsible for our achievements. Humbleness enables us to be teachable, willing to have a good attitude of submission and servant-hood, a person who confesses sin and remembers how Christ served us! Humility is not self-hatred or having a “poor me” attitude. It is a healthy realization that without Christ (and His use of other people) we can do nothing.
In contrast, arrogance lifts our self-interests and self-sufficiency, which seem necessary and good. However, when we are self-sufficient, we not only fail to see our need for redemption, but also fail to see our need for growth in spiritual matters. Therefore, self becomes the god, and any work of the One True God is muted and put aside.
